RAMIE SILK – Ichigo Ichie No. 33

Ichi-go ichi-e (一期一会 “Only once in a lifetime”) is a proverb that is used in everyday life or in the tea ceremony. It describes a cultural concept of appreciation of the irretrievable moment.
The colours of the strands are spontaneously designed by Chihiro with excess colour mixtures and colour residues from the dyeing instruments according to inspiration and are uniquely linked to the moment of creation.
There are only 5 – 30 skeins per color composition and they cannot be re-dyed.

RAMIE SILK is a noble, lightweight blend of virgin wool, silk and ramie that feels light and cool. It is very suitable for summer projects or as an alternative sock yarn. Ramie is a natural fibre from a Southeast Asian plant related to nettle. It was used as a fibre plant very early on and together with silk it gives the yarn a special shine.
